My name is Tarun Dhingra and I recently graduated from the University of Guelph with an honors degree in Economics and Minors in Business. I am originally from India and now a resident of Canada. I started my Journey with a dream of having a physique that would be loved by everyone. Little did I know, this thought was going to change my life.

My journey did not start that easy. I was a 19 year old (Early Matured) guy trying to find his way through the hardships of life. Having seen downs in my family life, breaking through the reality became a bigger challenge. Family has a greater influence over your personality. Just like many, I picked up traits I found best suited me. My cousins were very well known in the city due to their daring personalities. All muscled up and pierced ears would scare many. Leaving the scary part aside, I was attracted towards their dedication at the Gym. I would sometimes join them and try to imitate them. So maybe that was the reason behind the hard work?
I feel that wasn't the real reason though. The real reason was the way I was being seen in the society. I realize now how acceptance plays a role in human psychology. There was a point when these ideas made sense and to an extent felt real. I will give you the freedom to choose what might have been the reason, but it got me to where I wanted to be - A Changed me.
Towards the end of this thought, I just want to share that I was almost 170 pounds at the age of 12. For those who might not know, that's heavy. I wanted to see a serious change in myself. But did you know, although fitness became my mantra, It wasn't how I lost my weight.
Stay tuned for more!!!
Happy Friday.
